SPOTLIGHT: Open positions for the CPDA BOD 2010-2011

President- Elect

The President-Elect position is a 3-year term on the BOD beginning with President-Elect, then progressing to President, and ending with Past-President. The President-Elect plays a vital role within CPDA by working closely with the current President to learn the duties and responsibilities he or she will perform during the Presidential year. The President-Elect attends meetings with the board of directors and other committees to assist with CPDA membership, planning the budget, coordinating membership meetings, and appointing members to serve on standing committees. The President-Elect also serves as the editor of the CPDA newsletter by collecting and reviewing newsletter articles and working with the Secretary to publish the newsletter to all CPDA members.

 

This year’s President-Elect is Macy Reall.

 

Nominating Co-Chair

The Nominating Chair position is a 2-year term on the BOD; the first year served as Co-Chair and the second year served as Chair. The Nominating Chair & Co-Chair share several responsibilities including publicizing and submitting nominees for the PADA annual awards, preparing the election ballot and holding the annual CPDA election, and submitting articles for the CPDA newsletter. The Nominating Chair & Co-Chair participate in BOD meetings, the Executive Board meetings, and Membership Meetings throughout the year.

 

This year’s Nominating Chair is Randi Baumbaugh and Co-Chair is Tarah Knopp.

 

Council on Professional Issues Chair

The Council on Professional Issues (CPI) Chair is a 2-year term on the BOD; the first year served as Co-Chair and the second year served as Chair. The CPI Chair & Co-Chair are responsible for planning and holding the CPDA Membership Meetings throughout the year. This includes all aspect of program planning from determining meeting space and location, determining topics and dates, identifying and contacting speakers, to applying for CEU credits from CDR. The CPI Chair & Co-Chair participate in BOD meetings and Executive Board meetings, submit articles for the CPDA newsletter and website to advertise upcoming membership meetings and events.

 

This year’s CPI Chair is Fran Hadley and Co-Chair is Jan Kristensen.
